The Club held its informational meeting in March, 2001 and became an official club in April, 2001. The founding members of the Club were Jim and Helen Barry, Willie Simon, Patricia James and Cliff Norwood. The Club was named after Pat's husband, Stephen James, who was a well-liked local coin dealer. Currently the Club consists of more than 50 members and is a member of the ANA and SCNA.
